Reminders:
• Please have placement cards ready to go by Wednesday. Remember to check the list that was shared with you by Anita about which students are leaving.
• If you need more classroom supplies to get you through the end of the year, please email the staff as others might have what you need.
• Please remember to put reading data in IC in two places by Tuesday.
• Security has ordered the parts to fix the lower card-access door. These will take approximately two weeks to arrive.

Opportunities:
This summer the district is offering literacy training with Jan Keese. The two day seminar is called "Laying the Foundation:  Creating Common Language in Literacy." The dates for primary (K-2) are July 11th and 12th. The dates for intermediate (3-5) are July 13th and 14th. The training is held at Legend High School from 7:45-1:45. If you are interested, please contact Kristi. There are very limited spaces for this training.

ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) 2016 is hosting a conference and Expo. in Denver from June 26-29. Ideas are shared and new learning technologies are unveiled. Click here for more information.

Reminders:
• 4th grade will be testing from 10:00-11:30 and 5th grade from 2:00-3:30 Mon-Thur. As always, thank you for staying off wifi during these times.
• Entering data for READ plans is due on April 20th. 
• Class placement cards will be put in your box early this week. Please have these filled out and ready to go by class placement on May 4th.
• The system will be updating InspirED on four Mondays. You will not be able to work on EPRs after 7:00 pm on the following dates:

Grading Scale Supporting Language:
  •  A score of "Exceeds" indicates a high level of achievement; it communicates that a student has a strong understanding of content/concepts/skills taught during the semester and can demonstrate understanding independently and with very few errors.
  • A score of "Meets" indicates that a student demonstrates understanding of content/concepts/skills most of the time and with limited support. Student makes few major errors or omissions when demonstrating concepts/skill.
  • A score of "Approaching" indicates that a students requires moderate support to demonstrate understanding of concepts/skills. Demonstrated understanding of concepts/skills is inconsistent or infrequent indicating a partial understanding of the content/concepts/skills. Errors or omissions in work are more frequent.
  • A score of "Does Not Meet" indicates that a student seldom demonstrates understanding of concepts and skills taught during the semester. Student requires considerable support to demonstrate learning of concepts and skills and makes frequent major errors when demonstrating understanding.
