Reminders

•  Certified Staff: Please attend two of the four professional development sessions offered in February & March.  Classified staff are welcome to attend.  See a description of the technology sessions offered this week below. 

•  Parent/teacher conferences are Thursday, March 13^th and Tuesday, March 18^th.

•  Please let the office know if you are having older students help in your classroom prior to their arrival. 

•  If you have not done so already, please sign up for your pre-observation, observation, and post-observation on the calendar on Janis’ desk.  

•  The TCAP schedule will be emailed to everyone on Monday, February 24^th.

•  TCAP dates: 

3^rd – 5^th grade Reading, Writing, Math:  March 4th, 5^th, 6^th, 11^th, 12^th. 

Make-up TCAP date:  March 13^th.

Integrating Technology with Reading Strategies:
Ashley Gray & Meghan Steckler @8:15 on Wednesday in the Gold Mine Room
Learn how to select text with Ipads that students can then use to practice their reading strategies.

Using E-Portfolios to Set Goals and Have Student Reflect on their Work (grades 3-5):
Margaret Cieply @8:15 on Wednesday in Margaret's Rm
Learn how students can set personal goals and identify and upload their best work using e-portfolios.

Reminders:
• All certified staff need to sign up for their pre-observation, observation, and post-observation on the calendar on Janis’ desk by Friday. K-2 teachers need to complete the observation cycle by spring break.    3-5 teachers need to be finished by April 18. The pre-observation form was attached to the email. You will receive a sample of the pre-observation form at staff development this week. 
• We will provide your team time to discuss 21st century skills week at staff development.
• Please sign up for Collaboration Days in the lounge!
• If you have not completed the Safety and Security moodle course, please do so by Friday.

•  Please have Bends 2 and 3 read by Friday, February 14^th.  Click here for the agenda for our PLC day.

•  Please sign up for Collaboration Days in the lounge.  These will take place on 2/13 and 2/18.

•  Staff development is optional this week!

•  Please be thoughtful about what students are printing to the color printer.  If students need to copy something in color, please monitor when they print, so it’s just one copy. 

•  If you need to check who has the computer cart checked out, please look at the google schedule. 

•  If you have not completed the Safety and Security moodle course, please do so by Friday.
