Reminders

•  If you are concerned about any students in math who are not receiving RtI support, please let Libby know. Cindy Bell will administer the mid year computation assessment for these students to see if they qualify for the intervention group.

• Vision and Hearing screening will take place on Monday, Jan 26^th and Tuesday, Jan 27^th. Please sign up for a time slot in the lounge. 4^th grade classes do not participate.

• Due to our PLC day on Friday, teachers will have time to complete your formative assessments on your own.

• Please remember to complete your self evaluation prior to your mid year meeting.

•  In order to complete state assessments in a timely, efficient manner, all laptop carts will be needed during the testing window: March 2-13, April 21^st – 23^rd, May 5 – 13. Thank you for your flexibility!

• Please remember to follow our norm of being outside for morning supervision by 8:55.

• 3^rd  – 5^th grade teachers, please remember to continue tracking accommodations for your students. If you have any questions, please ask Libby.

• Megan will be updating grade level iPad carts  Tuesday & Thursday this week. If there are any new apps that you are interested in having on the iPads, please let Megan know ASAP. Grades 3, 4, & 5 please have your grade level iPad carts in the lab at the end of the day Monday. Grades K, 1, & 2 please have your grade level iPad carts in the lab at the end of the day Wednesday.

EPRs for READ Act Students- Guidelines:
A student who has a READ Plan is given an asterisk on his/her EPR. Teachers have the flexibility as to which reading standards have an asterisk based on the individualized needs of the learner. It could be on all of the reading standards or only on some of the standards. The number 1-4 indicates where the learner is at when comparing his/her performance in a body of evidence to the grade level Colorado Academic Standards on the EPR. Click here for more information and examples.

Parent Language for Report Card Change - No Technology Grades
You will notice this year that students did not receive a grade for technology. While all students continue to have technology five days a week, we altered the curriculum two days a week to allow students additional time to practice fundamental skills.  This change allows students to develop a strong foundation in technology basics.  In addition, the technology teacher is working collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan technology activities that can be implemented in the classroom.

• Megan Fleet would like to update the iPads before winter break. She would greatly appreciate it if intermediate carts could be brought to the back office in the library Monday, 12/15 by 4:00 and primary by Wednesday, 12/17 by 4:00. Thank you for being flexible!

• Please let the office know when your class is having their winter party. Please try to keep them to an hour and the remainder of the day as normal as possible.

• Grades 3, 4, and 5, you are invited to a dress rehearsal for choir on Friday, December 12^th at 9:20 in the gym.

• Mark your calendars! Our staff holiday party will be on Thursday, December 18 at Elizabeth Meuli’s house. More information to come!

• Please remember to sign up for a day to give DRA/Running Records. If you have a prearranged sub, Kristi can enter it for you if you send her the information. If you do not have a prearranged sub, you can enter it under “planning time.”
