Leadership Opportunities

Standard 6 Committee - Student Assessment Data

* Standard 6 will count for 50% of teacher evaluations starting NEXT year 

* Standard 6 measures student and school data 

* The team will identify assessment categories and specific assessment types we will use next year

* Participants will meet monthly and pilot some existing school/classroom assessments

* Participants will receive a stipend of $900 from the District

Response to Intervention Team (RtI)

* Meet every Friday starting this Friday at 8:15 to problem solve for students

* Participants brainstorm academic and behavioral supports

* See Jenny by Wednesday if you are interested in serving on RtI or the Standard 6 team.

Abuse & Neglect Training
*Please complete the online training for reporting abuse and neglect by August 23. Please use the link below to view this training.

Student Pictures on Blogs
* If you are putting pictures of your students on your website or blog please make sure you have permission from their parents.  We will put a class list in your box by Monday stating who has permission to be on the internet. Before then, you can check with the office.

Request for Special Education Testing
* See Tammy Simpson or Megan Isberg asap when a parent requests testing.

Field Trips
*Please log on to Staff Corner and select Field Trips to access the new information and forms. Janis will add it to the Master Calendar. Please allow 3 weeks advance notice for your field trips.  Check the staff corner for additional information.

Social Committee Dues
* Janis is collecting dues for social committee.  It is $25 for full time certified staff and $12.50 for
classified staff.

* Thank you for walking your kids in and out of the building during arrival and dismissal. Go NORMS!  Please send children directly to BASE in the cafeteria at the end of the day.

Learning & Leadership:
*We determined the conference dates for next year: November 5 & 7 and March 18 & 19

*The team decided that we would host grade level math trainings for parents in the month of
  September from 4:30-5:30PM. The purpose of the evening is to give parents a preview of the grade  
  level concepts and teach them how to help their children.  Teachers will have time to plan their  
  sessions. Mark your calendar...

Reminders:

1. Please electronically sign your contract no later than June 2. by

   a) Logging into ESS, the Employee Self-Service Portal from the HR Google Site.

   b) Click on the “Contract” Tab – only certified staff 

   c) Review your Teacher Contract by clicking the “View your teacher contract” link. 

   d) Sign electronically.

2. Let Joelle know by Wednesday at 10 your students who are Top Dog. Students who are 
    selected as a Top Dog should only be those who go above and beyond and always show 
    what it looks like to "Go for the Gold."  You will receive student certificates that should 
    go home in students backpacks on the last day of school.

3. Please communicate any end of year parties to the office. Please keep them low key and 

    limited to the afternoon of our last day of school.

4. Save the date!  Our year-end celebration will be on June 5^th.  More details to come!
